Need some help or good mechanic shop in L.A>> No power to my ignition switch
Need some input or a good mechanic shop around L.A. Here is my problem. Original problem was my fuel pump had stopped working. I bought a new one and it still didn't pump, hooked it up to direct power, it worked...both pumps worked.
I assumed it was the sending unit got another unit, still nothing. While trying to figure out the fuel pump problem my switched died, no more power, changed the battery, nothing.i have a spare ignition switch swapped it out and same thing. NOTHING Im getting no power to my ignition switch. I turn on switch no dash lights,no fuel pump(even though there is power to the fuel pump plug and the sending unit) my door locks work. There is power to all the cabin fuses and engine bay fuses although i really didnt know which to check i just wanted to see if power was going to the front. I really dont have much time to work on it anymore so im more willing to take it to a shop to get it running again....looking for someone who has had work done by a certain shop around L.A 323/213/562/310 Area...SR swaps/electrical troubleshooting ++ Specs on car. 1990 S13 HB w/ Redtop E62 ecu WS S13SR to S13 engine harness Battery relocated to the trunk NEED HELP...ZILVIA. Obviously you wouldnt be the type of person to help^^^^so it s not directed towards you anyways. Maybe the idea of helping a FELLOW ZILVIAN, 240 owner seems too much for you.
Johnathan R^^^fixed my problem....:-P Came thru w/ all his electrical testing equipment started going thru the entire car checking every plug, fuse, relay, underdash fuses, ecu, ignition..he found 2shorted relays, 2 shorted high amp fuses 1 in cabin fuse shorted...still working on fuel pump power problem...This guy is good cluster lights up, all gauges have power, engine cranks, all power. except pump...but it in progress.. He was compensated for his work, for those who think I was beign lazy or looking for free help. |
