That will do nothing, help nothing. I dont belive in god or jesus or what ever, so I dont think that the people that have died will look down apon the people that drive with there lights on and say 'Ow, how nice". The Relitives of the dead would not know what going on, but just think some one has a car with all-time lights. I am not a penis wrinkle, but I see no point. Over 100 X's , let me repeat, Over 100X that many people die each year from smoking cigeretts, then the victoms of 911. So does that make people that smaoke cig's less importent then people that died from a terrorist attack? Shall we all buy a pack of cig's on some given day, throw all the cigs out of the pack, on the ground, then stomp on them? If some of you are so patriotic, why dont you run around on veterans day holding a US flag to celibrate the millions of deaths that occured in in WW2? Im mean, 1000 to 1,000,000+ is just a slight difference. Its cool that people are patriotic and care for the lives of others like myself, but being patiotic only to the things that is in hype is just being fake.

you cant compare smokers to the 9/11 victims, man. They arent even remotely close. I guess all those people in the towers just flew the planes into the buildings themselves?? wtf kind of comparison is that? People that smoke KNOW they can die from lots of different types of cancer -- they are addicted and refuse to "save themselves" from a potentially cancerous death. It sux that people die from smoking but its not like they arent doing to themselves....

Its cool that the USA has more military power then any other nation on the face of the earth, but to use that to be the "world police" will cause only trouble, and even tho the USA has such power over other contry's, just a couple of cowards with box cutters caused so much destruction to the powerful country, makes you wonder why we are at more of a risk then a contry with 1/100th the military force.

This is sad. In true Zilvia style, a thread about a way to show your love and support for the 9/11 victims, has turned into a gay argument. This forum has some of the best information about our cars, on the internet, but if it wasn't for that fact, I would never bother looking at it. People constantly want to argue, flame, and try to make themselves look better by trying to make others look stupid. It's just really sad to me.

I just have a couple comments

The reason that was the "last you heard", is because the media only wants to focus on the bad things. We helped Kosovo more than you'll ever know. You don't see what we see. The fathers, mothers, daughters, and sons, crying uncontrollably because they finally are free to think on their own. Free to say what they want about their government. Finally being able to decide their leaders, and the direction of their nation. See, you can hate Bush. You can go tell all your neighbors that he's an idiot. Imagine if you couldn't. If telling anyone that you didn't like Bush would mean your head. You see the media, showing all the contingency groups saying the hate America. If you walk down the streets of cities in Iraq and Afganistan, the vast majority of their people will be thanking you for all America has done for them. That's what we see, and I'm sorry the media doesn't cover that.

America brought this on itself by being a free nation. The USA is a symbol to the rest of the world of what a democracy can be. That's why we're a target. The extremists don't like that. They have very strict morals and laws. America is a somewhat liberal nation, and that embodies everything that they are against. They want us dead because we don't follow their laws. Don't read to much into it. We did nothing to bring this on ourselves other than be free.

I think I know more about those shoe shinners then you would want to know. I was born in Beograd Serbia. Aslo, they are not free, The bosnians, croats all are still being wiped out. It will not change. It was good for Serbia that Milosovich went out of power, but we did not cry for freedom. We had freedom before. He just sent our troups on missions against the bosnian people. Serbia has a much bigger military then Bosnia, So the Bosnians were being erased, And the USA did not like that. They said it was a action like the nazi's. With out Milsovich in power, did not change things to much. It did lessen the fighting tho, but its just like Iraq, Saddam is no longer in power, but yet US soldiers die every day over there.

Change can't come over night. Things take time, and when dealing with Governments that have to basically be rebuilt from the ground up, it's a long time. Can you imagine what would've happened if we would've taken Saddam out, and left. There would've been chaos for a while, and then they would've ended up with a completely Bathist government again. We had to stay, help them build up and train police/guard forces, build an interim government, so that they could take control with orginazation.
And isn't that the point? To try and help everyone you can.
That's not how I think. I'm not going to argue this point to much, because I feel that would be rude, cause you're from Serbia. I just can't be satisfied with saying that it can't be fixed. I keep all hope for everyone.

I'll digress with a quote that I feel relates very well to America's postion in the world. It's from Spiderman, I think his grandma says it to him....
"with great power, comes great responsibility"
That's how I feel about our country. If you see someone on the side of the road in a busted S13, needing help, do you stop? I hope so. Well, to me America is you, and the busted S13 is the people of coutries in need. The Iraqis under an iron fisted Saddam. The Afgans under the terrorizing Taliban. Some people call it policing the world. I call it helping the world to the best of our ability. Some people join the military to protect and defend our great nation. I did it for those reasons and more... to protect and defend freedom and justice all over the world. Not just in my backyard, and I'll glady fly into any fight for anyone in need. It won't bother me if I'm on my death bed knowing I died fighting for another country's freedom. Just like I know that my friends that have died in Iraq, died knowing they were fighting for a greater cause. The cause of mankind.

It was a stupid idea to start with. First of all the guy who started this thread can’t even spell, so are you going to try something that’s being supported by him?

Second of all 9/11 was brought on by a selection of the population. So yes smoking cigarettes and 9/11 is related. American presidents have done a lot of wrong and just because a group retaliates everyone should now remember how 1000 people or so died.

look guys, if the idea of turning on your headlights in remembrance of the victims of 9/11 sounds dumb (as it does to me) why don't you donate some money to help the family of the victims (does Red Cross still do this?) That sure is hell is much better than turning on headlights or waving around a flag. Otherwise if you dont care (i dont blame u if u do) then don't say anything.
