plug under dash(searched)

ok so my old engine harness of off my 89 sohc s13 was crappy so i took my friends 90 sohc harness and put it on. well i connected everything but the plug behind the dash doesnt match up. im not sure what its for or what but when i tried turning my car on for the first time it cranked over turned on for a second then died right away. tried turning on again and didnt turn on what so ever. any idea why? could it be cuz of that plug? i know hardly anything about electrical any help would be appreciated.

get a picture of the plug since there is about 30 different plugs under the dash, would make it alot easier for us to help you out.

theres only 2 under the dash going to the engine harness. the one near the ecu then the one behind dash. the rest lead to engine which are already connected

I think the difference is an auto harness and 5spd harness. Check the FSM for plugs under there. I had an extra plug when I switch harnesses on my fastback since it was a auto before.
