My bike is decently light but weight has nothing to do with throwing it around unless you're talking about street where you bunny hop pretty much everything.
I could ride a sixty pound bike through my trails and fling that bitch around everywhere.

yeah, it has a pretty legit street section. i haven't been to the natomas park yet.
haven't weighed my bike in 8 years. weight is irrelevant.

I agree that weight is irrelevant and I hate riders who get caught up in weight of their bike, just fucking ride it.
But I worked at a Bike/BMX shop for a couple of years here recently, and most of the employees rode bmx and were constantly building bikes and buying parts, so there was always the challenge and goal of having the nicest bike at the shop, and since we got stuff so cheap, I couldnt help myself but buy parts and weight it lol

Seems like everyone is around the same and I realize it shouldn't matter. I rode with Brad Sims last summer for a little at a local park and got some great pointers. Just need the balls to hit everything with more speed.

I'm 29 now, don't do much tricks anymore. My bike is a total custom from the 80's. I've got 80's JDM wheels, and the frame is super lightweight. I'll keep this bike till I die.

Agreed. I am super basics, but he showed me 180's and how to progress my hop while he was doing flat 360's with his eyes closed. I had no idea who he was until the guy he was with told me.

HAHA that's awesome. I remember doing that when you all go out to eat. It's the best bike lock EVER! I love the stange looks that people give you when you're piling up you bikes... Oh and big 3! I love those big slow ones. I don't ride too much park (it's scares me HAHA) but I love hitting slow 3's when hitting large stairs... |

I used to ride a haro with a mix of street and dirt/trails when we found good spots to make jumps, most by the 215/10 interchange.
Then my bike got jacked when I spent the night at a friends house. They took his also. Fucking theives man ill try to dig up a pic when I get home. |

Hmm ive always ridden, but like 2 years i started really gettin into BMX, started buildin a bike starting with an eastern frame i swooped from craigslist haha, it was like half built and i started getting into flat land and learning some stuff, then i kinda ran out of money and it has sat for like a year or so every once i a while id throw a part or 2 at it.
Just this past week ive been riding more often and am finally making good money, and im lookin forward to picking up where i left off 2 years ago. I'll post a pic of it later, but its really nothing special for now haha |
