problem im having with my ka
So my car has been having this problem where it drives and feels perfectly fine then out of nowhere it will just start revving up and down then want to die out, sometimes it does die or it will just go back to normal and drive fine.
This is originally the second harness in the motor as the first one melted from hitting the fan. It was fine since i put it in it. I discovered the wiring to the maf had 2 exposed wires touching each other which i fixed, i also changed fuel filter and swapped mafs to check if that was the problem but still nothing. I really need help finding a solution beacause im having a hard time pin pointing it. its a 95 ka btw |

ok so this problem hasn't been fixed and its pissing me off it basically hiccups while driving but iv also had a times where it will shut off or have a problem turning and then out no where turns on normal. iv checked plugs and dizzy also plug my IAT sensor back and that didnt make a difference. i check to see if the screw for the middle of the ecu was tightend. I dont know if maybe the wirings just f'd up or maybe ecu ,i dont have any check engine lights for any sensors and iv went touching around the wiring when cars on to see if theres a part of the wiring making it do that and didnt seem to do anything. suggestions?

99% sure its my wiring harness and pretty sure its the wiring to the maf so im going to try to hard wire the maf separately if that doesn't work im going to look for another harness

i had replaced maf, fixed some wiring and bends , switched ecu's, changed out fuel filter, changed fuel pump, checked senors.and finally I just decided to spray the connections on the ecu and the plug and connection with the maf with some electrical cleaner and my problem has gone away. Seems this harness had some corrosion on the plugs, however if the problem comes back i know for a fact its the whole harness. thanks for input

Typically for erratic revving. I would check the 2 things starting from the top.
- TPS Sensor. - Bad or Loose Ground wires. - Igniter since your S14 what would be built in the Distributor. |
