96 240sx 1jz inspection

whats up everybody, im trying to inspect my 96 240 has a 1jz swap meaning obd2 with obd1 motor. how does everyone else go about inspection with a 1j swap?

The major rule with any swap is that the vehicle must have ALL the emissions stuff from the year of the motor....That's if the motor is legal in the USA....Also you generally cannot use an older than your model year engine unless you use the model year of your car emissions. ...

So if your year motor requires OBD2 then your OBD2 port must be compliant...

However all bets are off if you live in a state or county that does not require emissions testing or inspection...or because race car. ...

Yeah I was hoping someone else has got a legit sticker with a 1jz swap in nj but I guess not. I mean I have a 96 and 97, and my brother has 2 s13s so we have the 240s haha did you have a suggestion about using one of them?

I sold my SR powered 96 s14 because of what I would have had to do to get legit inspection. Which was remove the SR ecu and flash the KA ecu and have some wiring done. May be missing some things but that was the jist of it. Now ride a 95 sc300 with a 2jzgte and inspection was a breeze. 100% Legit inspection by random shop.. GL either way homie
