type x wing filled with water?
I ordered a type x wing for my s13 from another guy here on zilvia. The wing was: "Excellent condition, no cracks, scratches, or other imperfections." according to the authors post.
I received it yesterday, un-boxed it today to find out that the wing has about half a gallon of water swishing around inside it. I can literally here the water gushing from one side to the other when I flip it around. Wouldn't be that big a deal if I can just drain the water....but I can't. It trickles out one drop at a time on one side. /sigh Just wanted to ask is this normal? On top of the water issue, two of the four bolts are also rusted, it's missing one of the bumper things on one side, AND I have brown rectangles all around the wing because the guy taped it with brown tape instead of clear tape and the brown residue got left behind when I peeled off the tape. Ask for refund? |

Get a power drill and a 1/4" bit, a case of beer, and some autobody filler.
Step 1: Insert bit into drill. Step 2: Drill hole into wing in most unobtrusive unseen location (preferably at an end point) Step 3: Tilt wing until all water has drained Step 4: Full hole smooth with body filler Step 5: Drink Case of Beer Step 6: Sober Up, Primer wing as necessary. |

Not defending him, but if he had said something, you would not have bought it. This is how it works ... it reminds me of a "mint shell absolutely no rust at all" that turned out to have maybe 10% sane parts.

Before you go and buy a drill bit I'd stop by Walgreen's and pick up some tampons.

It's actually blinker fluid. Depending on which turn signal you activate causes the water to rush to that side of the car to help aide in rear turning stability.
