Proper Kouki Hamburger Badge

Hi all,

I bought a 98 USDM years back and it came with a carbon fiber hood. I've since sourced an OEM hood, and now I'm unsure which badge I need. Let me explain..

I originally purchased the 81F badge (according to most part websites, this is the kouki hood emblem part #) but when I got it, the body shop told me the prongs didn't line up, so he shaved them off. It also came in a OL700 bag (which is for a trunk?). He never installed the badge though. After I looked at it, I thought it looked too oval shaped to be the right one, so I recently purchased a 65F badge on ebay (supposed to be the hood emblem for the zenki). This one is bigger, and more of a circle shape, and the prongs fit. BUT the prongs look the same distance apart as the 81F that has had its prongs removed.. So anyway, now I'm not sure which is correct because the part #'s say the 81F is, but 65F looks more right to me.

Could someone with an ORIGINAL UNALTERED Kouki hood and hamburger badge, please measure the width of your badge and let me know what it is? The two are pretty different sizes so this is will help me determine which is actually correct.

Thanks in advance guys n gals.

If someone else doesn't beat me to it, I can give you measurements when I get home.

Replying to remind myself to measure this later. My emblem is currently off the car, so can measure the holes in the hood for you also.

According to parts.nissanusa.com part # 84890-0L700 superseded 65890-81F00 and is the same part for 1996-1998 240SX and Maxima. My guess is that it's technically the Maxima trunk emblem (why the description says trunk) and just happens to be the same size as the original 240SX hood one.

As promised: 2.95"wide x 2.05"tall x ~0.20" thick, measuring just bellow the 'SS'. This is on a '98 oem hood, btw. Hope it helps.
