Great job with the photochop! That is along the lines of what I was thinking if the design language from the Essence met with the future direction that Nissan has been displaying recently... Kudos!

I'm working on it. Hopefully in the new year I can take steps towards that goal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a couple things fall into place soon.

This is almost what I've been saying all along as far as price for this car and also where the new SX should fit in.

It's the perfect price range for these cars.

I wonder how liberal they will be in applying these options. I would like the ability to select individual options, instead of having a few packages that force you to get things you don't want in order to get things you do.

Me too. I'd rather order a car and wait 6 weeks for it and get it just the way I want.

Agreed. I think I would want is HID's, brembos, suspension, power everything, and a sunroof. However I think we both know we are doing wishful thinking. It would be quite awesome for them to do that, but I think chances are nil.

The G25 is coming to the China market, but it's not turbocharged. Who knows if we'll see the same variant stateside.

heh...some thousand pages back i posted up that nissan had trademarked the name "G25" when i was digging thru the trademark database...theres still a few car name plates that they have yet to show or announce

EDIT: in retrospect...i think i may have called it in another thread...i know there was another "future 240" thread floating around...ill have to go search for it...but i know i ran across G25 last year in the trademark database when i was doing legal work with nissan for DorkiDori

I read this yesterday but it didn't hit me about a SX engine. This is good news indeed. I can see it being de-tuned to 250hp to put more space between the Z and SX.

The RX-8 was a very decent car.
It just had a forgettable power-plant.
Wish Mazda would just move away from the rotary engine.
Something with FI would be nice.

The G25 isn't such a bad idea actually.
It would sell well even here.
It might very well also cannibalize off some of Nissan's cheaper models.
