bunch problems with my tranny ....
ok so i have a bunch of weird problems with my tranny heres the list of problems im having
first things first my 5th gear whines really loud under 50mph and also my 5th gear would grind if i wouldnt double clutch it next there is a slight tapping sound coming from the tranny and it would go away if the clutch is depressed also sometimes goin into 2nd gear it would make a slight grind noise right when i press the clutch i all ready flushed out the tranny fluid and before i did that it would be hard to put in rev and would somtimes grind into 4th so im confused i dont know if its the tranny it self or the throw out bearing or the input shaft bearing tranny is off my 93 kade any indeas would be greatly appreciated thanks |

Haha I read Tranny not Transmission when opening the thread.
To OP get a new transmission or get a KA trannsmission and just swap bell housings.

The 5th gear issues are definitely internal. BUT The tapping noises that go away when the clutch is depressed sound exactly like an issue I had. One of my flywheel bolts had backed out for some reason or another and was hitting my clutch. I hope this helps. And just buy a new trany, dont try messing with internals unless you have done it before.
