Not enough registration. There was only 17 people that registered and people keep telling me that they'll sign up but still no words. Did you sign up?
We have to play it safe and not lose 5K+ money. But Saturday is still a go and it'll be fucking dope! |

Honestly guys we started promoting this event a long time ago and nobody signed up even 2 weeks before there wasn't enough registration to cover the cost. This is a great deal for BW on a weekend... lots of seat time and a great track... just register and come out. It will be fun!!!

If you are new to drifting, real track its where it's at. You are hot lapping so you don't stop and you can fix your mistake at the next turn, or the next turn, or the next turn.
Its fucking awesome! |

For those who keep asking for a Drift Buffet practice day, I would suggest you come to this one. We can't run the parking lots right now, but I would rather be at Buttonwillow any day. If you have never been to BW, then you haven't lived!
I'm sure we'll arrange for the beginners to run together so nobody gets upset or feels pressured. Most of the top DB drivers will be there, if you need help learning.

If you guys want a practice day, this is for you!
Buttonwillow is worth the drive. It is clean, safe, and fun. Beginners can make mistakes all day, and continually learn because you have 20-minute run groups. What that means is that you don't take one run, screw it up, get frustrated, sit in line, wait, get nervous, then go back out, screw it up, rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. At BW, you get in a run group with other people who are at about the same skill level as you, and you take laps for 20 minutes. No stopping unless you want to for 20 minutes! You'll see so many different kinds of turns (fast, slow, tight, sweepers, whatever) and you'll get so much time behind the wheel that your skills are sure to improve! At Buttonwillow, you can always find a turn you like, and when you start killing it on that turn, you can apply what you learned to the other turns, and pretty soon you are drifting the whole course! I would absolutely recommend this course if you want to work on your drifting skills! I'll be there too, working on mine! There hasn't been an event at BW in a while, and there won't be again soon, so get it while you can!

It took me awhile to get a Buttonwillow weekend. Everyone has been asking me almost everyday of when we'll have another BW session.
I finally got a weekend and wanted to give everyone a chance to make it for the PROAM National, especially all the Norcal drivers. I even ask all the amateur organization if they wanted to participate on this whole deal just to have a DOPE OLD SCHOOL BUTTONWILLOW STYLE EVENTS... I guess it didn't work but this will probably the only weekend this year for Buttonwillow that you can fully drift and it's sad that we wasted a sunday. I hope you guys can come out on Saturday because you will not be disappointed. |
