My brother has had over 19 S13's(not exagerating) and 3 S14's and after I drove them all, I decided to get a S14 because the S13 felt too old for me. It was fixable things that made me want a newer car. Because the way the S14 felt, it was as easy to drive and felt so nice when your cruising. It all depends all to you, if your into drifting or looks.

I totally agree with everyone talking about the Interior feeling and the handling of an S14
I have a Built S13 Stance GR+ Pro's Battle Version Control Arm Kit Nismo Power Brace Subframe bushings 18x9.5 with 215/40 My S14 with ONLY ISIS Control Arm kit and the same rim/tire combo with an alignment handling wise almost beats the crap out of my S13's, S14 feels way more solid, way less body roll, very grippy yet still easy to kick out

I don't think you see where I'm going... S13s are old chassis, it's damn near essential to spot weld most of the chassis so they're good track vehicles.
It's not hard at all to spend money and throw parts on a car, but maintaining them on the other hand is a whole different story. most people rip out their heater cores and their cooling (ac) systems, gut the cars, throw a body kit on it, an sr, some shitty suspension mods, z brakes and call it a build. all in all I thought the s13 was going to be twice the headache the s14 was and that's why I got rid of my hatch. This may not be the opinion of everyone else, it is just mine that I am sharing in this thread. I still prefer the looks of BH's 240 to mine. But my car just feels newer, still even smells new on the inside.

i had an s14 with 80k miles, than went to you s13 two tone with around 140k miles. The s13 hadled a lot better, both cars had stance coilovers. S14 had a quiter interior, s13 is a better drift car IMO.
I think its based on the car you get, the s13 i have has a rock solid chassi.

I own both in stock trims.
You have to realize that the components on a s13 are nearing 20 years old so they will require replacement soon rather then later. Which might be a good reason to slap some coilovers, bushings, arms and all that JDM stuff. However S14 will also require replacements later rather then sooner. S14 has a better ride in stock form than an S13. Interior wise I like them both; S13 is a bit more uncomfortable, I say due the seats. Exterior is personal preference, I think there are more options overall for an S13, since it has a bigger market. |
