93 S13 KADE Running Rough
Okay so theres a bunch of threads about poorly running S13s but mine doesn't seem to fit along with any of their issues. So the solder in the MAF broke, and the car was in limp mode. Standard 2500 rpm redline, blah blah. Got home, pulled the MAF apart, resoldered the joints. Hooked it all back up, started it up and it still ran like shit. Took it for a test drive, and it's faster than ever (since I've had it, bone stock car 2nd owner). So WOT its great, no noticeable bogging or hesistation. It does smell like its rich though. But on steady cruising or idle it's all over the place stumbling, shuddering, almost stalling, etc. So what's up guys? Do I need to reset the ECU? Did limp mode kill the FPR?

Well since I haven't gotten any insight, ill just post my troubleshooting/findings to maybe help the next person. So Ive ruled out the FPR, swapped for a new one and made no difference. Reset the codes on the ECU, throws a code 55 (all clear) so I don't think that's the issue. Tested the voltage on the MAF, input voltage is 10.86v @idle, decreases as RPM's increase. Output voltage (signal voltage) is 3.XXv @idle increasing smoothly in the 3.XXv range as the RPM's increase. Going to try and find a different MAF and see if anything changes.

sorry I just saw your post. This had happen to me a couple of months ago. I was going to suggest to get a new MAF.l tried to resolder mine as well but it gave a voltage drop and was giving the ECU a false reading, making the engine run rough and rich. Sorry for the late response
