I was looking at the tuning stage section and I was wondering where you get the underdrive pulleys, and how much they are? Are they really easy to install yourself? Also about stage 3, the ECU...what kind should you get to replace your stock ECU and how much do they cost? Can you install that yourself easily too?
I'm getting a 98 240sx SE Saturday and it has the extended warranty on it. Does anyone know if you can replace exhuast, intake, and underdrive pullys and not void the warranty? Thanks everyone. |

Ask them about the warranty. The UD pulley might void some things. As might the exhaust and intake, etc.
They would never know if you had a ECU though. Jim Wolf Technoloy makes the best one. |

It also depends on the warranty that you have. Intake and exhaust don't void the warranty, I don't think. I dunno, as I've mentioned like a billion times before, I worked in that dealership and lots of people came with modded cars, and their warranties were OK. My boyfriend has a 240 and had the dealership install a pulley a week or so ago and had warranty work done to the car a few days later.

you should ask the warranty co, or your dealer. Always remember that the dealer or warr co has to PROVE the mod caused whatever problem comes up. You may have to put up a fight, stand your ground they will usually back down cuz they cant PROVE it. Some contracts state that mods void..be careful!! Id say exhaust no prob, intake ??no prob??, ecu?, pulley ?

Before you do anything, contact your local Nissan dealership-Service Dept. Just tell them that you want to make sure that you're doing the "right" thing and they'll be more than happy to help you.
Good luck! |

I got my ASP pulley from [email protected] for around $110. It is well worth the money, and is a quaility product. I installed the pulley myself at my home. It took me about 1 days to install it because I don't have the right tool and I had a hard time to unbolt the center crank bolt. I consider it is not a easy work. I have drain the coolant, took out the upper radiator hose, electric and mech. fan, and all belts. And about the ECU, you just need to replace it, plug and go, ( Correct me If I am wrong)
