Expect it to take you atleast a year if you have decent skill. You have to use stock headers/cat and all that though for it to pass. Allll the emissions and vacuum line as well obviously. Adds a lot more difficulty

best place to go is here...

I pondered this idea also. The only problem with getting it to pass smog is the wiring. Speaking with a few people here and there, and also on that forum, the 350z wiring harness is integrated into one whole harness rather than having a seperate harness for in dash and engine etc. This could cause a problem with the ECU throwing CEL codes during refing.

So you manually separate the engine harness from the chassis harness and get the PCM reprogrammed if it throws codes for stuff that is not needed for the engine. I don't see how it is all inegrated though because the 3.5L is used in many other Nissan's???

I'm using an ECU and wiring harness from a Maxima on mine. The Maxima harness is pretty easy to use and is definately seperate from the chassis harness. The 350z engine harness is seperate too though, I've compared them both and both will work fine.

One problem you will have is getting the stock Z cats to fit if that is a requirement for your state. They will hit the firewall on the S14, you could get around that though, it's not impossible.

Heck even the electronic "gas" pedal bolts right in like it's meant to be there (get one from a Z, not a maxima).
