Hey guys, I have a 1990 s13 with a red top sr20det. my car has been running super rich for while and I noticed the ecu has some water damage. I got a hold of a 63 ecu pretty cheap and thought I'd give it a try after reading other threads stating it could be done with minor issues. However, it won't even start the car, engine turns over but won't ignite. Any ideas?

Honestly, I'm not sure what's not happening in the ignition process. But I'm still at a loss, the pinouts are identical, not to mention the ecu is practically brand new and doesn't look like it has been tampered with at all.

the red light on the back of the ecu should stay on, if it doesnt than the ecu is fried
