the sticker under the hood says its obd2, but it still gets tested as obd1 because it's <96

The 4 lug s14's are base models.

Only s14 SE's came 5 lug.

I'm sure if OP looks at the production date on his parents car, it would say a year prior to what it is listed as.

I don't see why this is all so confusing for people.

Oh my GOD, My room mate had a 98 that was 4 lug, it must have been a S14.3 This is ground shaking news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe the level of stupidity in this thread. Seriously go back to hondas.

Oh and BTW the reason your car is ODBII and still an early 95 model (build date early 94) is because its a Cali legal car genius.

Holy shit I must be descended from Sherlock Holmes.

How exactly do you know that any of the parts are S13? To the naked eye they all look pretty much the same. If you're buying coilovers they HAVE to be S14 for an S14. The S14's have longer rear shocks and S13 model coilovers won't even come close to fitting. Also, OBD2 did NOT start untill late in the '95 production, regardless of what the JWT website says. ALL 96+ cars are OBD2...

EDIT: I just saw your pics and there is NOTHING S13 there. I can see the larger knuckle to shock bolts from the S14. The rest of the parts look to have been replaced with aftermarket stuff, which won't look the same as OE...

also fun fact, although it's a 94 production date it has obd2 ._.

This^

First off, you should have replaced them with s14 parts, not s13, especially for stock parts.

S14 coilovers is a must. If you want to buy "used" coilovers and want to piece them together (I don't know why you would) then you can run s13 front coilovers and purchase s14 rear coilovers.

Cliff:
- get rid of s13 parts and replace with s14 (if stock)
- buy s14 coilovers.

You installed the wrong parts then. There is NOTHING S13 about your S14, except the wrong crap that you put on it. If your control arms are S13 then your balljoints don't fit properly, which is dangerous. You've got thinner inner tie ros ends, which shouldn't be on there.

Did we reset the score a few years ago when florida began to fail? Because as long as I've been into s-chassis most of the facepalm post have come from Cali.

If its a S14 shell.. then you buy a S14 coilover. Simple.. Doesnt take till page 2 to solve this.

What the hell are you all talking about saying the suspension arms and such.. the rear tower is way longer then a S13 and even if he had a S13 front knuckle.. the S14 coil fits vice versa.

Afaik no one was debating that 96+ is/was obd2. the discussion was about 94-95 s14s and if they are obd2 or obd1. JWT says my 3/94 s14 is a OBD (3C Ecu) and as far as I can tell it looks like OBD2 to me since I have all the obd ports.

Where have you been hiding the last year? The fail that has come out of FL has topped Cali in quantity ten fold, though quality is debatable.
