Exactly, they are practical, that is why they are all over the rest of the world. But most of those people do not buy them because they like how they look. They would all rather buy a sporty car or a nice sedan version of it, but if they have bigger family or need to carry things, they end up opting for the wagon. Over here I see people drooling over them saying how 'hot' they are, which is silly to me because nobody I know in Europe actually likes their station wagons for its looks, haha.

Although it is true that there is an equal obsession on the opposite side of the spectrum, as a bunch of Europeans are really into big SUV's and trucks, which are less common there.

My friend just got a Malibu Wagon
late 70s I think
he and the boss like muscle cars (boss owns a couple of tricked out El Caminos)
anyhow, it's an original 4 speed and they keep raving on how rare it is
I see that potential for a cool car but meh, I think they're ugly
looks like this

yeah, old japanese wagons dont belong in here
they are like the size of a pinto wagon. and i love wagons AND classic japanese cars, but yeah...those things are horrible
