Compresor, evaporator, condensator, lines, harness, a/c ducts, a/c panel, etc. etc.. too much parts involved, too much work involved.
Didn't know that there was a USDM S14 model that came with no a/c.

You get fullty loaded base models then base models that have no options. Heh. The harness should be there, just unplugged and capped off.

You need evaporator compressor condenser liquid lines high side lines pressure switch expansion valve. It shouldn't be too hard the vents should be there from the heater I don't think you need to take the dash off either for the evaporator. Good luck

Expansion valve is located within the evaporator case. Pull the case out from behind the glovebox (drop the glovebox and frame, four bolts secure the case) and slide it out. You'll see the valve inside.
a LOT of new cars don't come with A/C, cars sold up North don't have it as much since the summers aren't as hot. I used to do A/C work for two summers, we had a lot of cars come in from Maine, New Hampshire, etc. and installed full kits since they never had it OE equipped. A lot of work trucks come without it too, we did Silverados every day that were sold in base W/T form, not even a radio, antenna, or speakers, much less A/C.

Project RDM: I believe you are quite possibly the most car savvy human being I have ever known. You have helped me with just about every problem I have ever had!! Thanks so much man!!
And yeah, you are right, I forgot about northern cars not having A/C...makes sense. I guess I'm just spoled by my A/C and radio |

AC, power door locks, Cruise Control, Power Mirrors were optional on the S14. Power Windows are standard.
Are the holes drilled? I wonder how prewired it is for the AC.

Fully prewired, holes are drilled in the firewall. If you don't have A/C there's rubbers plug that seal the firewall.

I got the evap case slid out, but I can't get enough slack on the A/C line to maneuver around the box to actually remove the box completely to get to the Valve. I do see the valve but I just can't get to any of the connections. Any ideas on how to get some more slack on the A/C line?? I did contemplate removing the fitting from the engine bay side...but seems a bit brash, and a pain (i don't have the proper sized wrenches ) |

The lines have to be removed to get it out. They're a 17/19mm for the smaller one, 30/32mm on the larger one IIRC.
