Help replacing bulb next to headlight (corner light)

I need to replace the light bulb next to the headlight. Its the corner light (manual says its the clearance light). Note this is not the side marker light. Its right next to the head light. What do i need to do to replace it. I was told to remove the cover by taking out a screw then I would be able to wiggle or pivot the cover out but its not coming. I have pulled on plastic cover very hard but the back part is not budging and I'm worried i am going to damage something. This is on a '95 240sx. Anyone dealt with this before and can help.

thank!!

Yea, the corner lamp is a bitch to take out. All I can say is....unscrew the corner lamp from the headlight, then firmly grab the corner lamp. Now this might sound weird...but get as close as you can to your car and firmly (but gently) pull the corner lamp towards you. Don't wiggle it or pull at an odd angle....because you will break the pivot holder (made up word).

make sense?

ok so basically pull very hard straight out, like if i am standing at the front corner of the car. If i manage to get it out and able to replace the bulb do I just push the cover in very hard? I know these maybe stupid questions but I have worked on this for an hour now and I'm frustrated!! I tried taking the other one out but couldn't get it to come out either plus I lot the screw.

Thanks

You don't use as much force installing the corner lamp as you do removing it. Just gently push back into place until you hear a "click".

You can get a replacement screw at Home Depot.

I have amber corner bulbs too. cool beans, and I thought I was the only one. J/K. What bulbs do you use, I haven't found any that are quite as amber as I would like them. I was actually thinking of using that japanese brand lense spray paint to make the corners more amber than they are w/ just the bulbs. I don't know how that paint hold up so I haven't tried it yet. What do you think.

My cousin bought some clear bumper lights for his Neon, some no name company and they came with amber bulbs, but he bought hyper white wedge bulbs, so I jacked him for all the ambers in case mine blow...

me and all my friends here in hawaii dont use the amber lights for our corners....we use either the raybrig or piaa honey bee yellow lights so that our corners arnet amber but instead are bright yellow

Mine too, I say amber because it comes out easier than "orange-ish." I will have to remember to take a picture as the sin is going down, you can't really tell in pics when the sun is out, but in that hour between day and dark (most call it dusk, huh?) it looks GREAT with just the corners.
