So i got my gauges in from Sgear a couple days ago and started building a gauge cluster.









Not done yet, still gotta get a tach and a wideband.

How'd you come up with the layout/plans for the cluster? walkthrough or something?

i just pulled the housing out of the dash and traced it on cardboard. Then mocked it up to the cluster housing and trimmed it where necessary. Then traced that to aluminum.

after fighting for 2 days to fit the intercooler, radiator and taurus fan under the core support, i decided to just cut the core support out and make one from scratch.



I got Sean from SLR Speed to come over and do some welding for me.

so i had to figure out what to do about fitting the fan, radiator and intercooler as there was no way it was all fitting under the factory core support.

I cut the factory one completely out and threw it away.



then i cut all the bracing out from under the hood to make room and drop weight.

I didnt take pics yet, but i actually made braces between the frame rails to hold the radiator up at that angle.

Used tape to test the angle of the radiator with all the body parts on and it looked good so i made the brackets to hold the radiator up and in place.

so i revised the radiator mounts slightly and added rubber grommets to keep vibration down.



this is how the radiator and fan will be mounted.



reinforced the core support a little (dont knock my welding skillz, its strong, just not pretty)





here you see the bottom mounts for the radiator





installed tabs for my adjustable hood pins









and started test fitting the intercooler.

Exactly. Honestly, I love function and form, but this car is strictly function. There area lot of things that I wish I had the time to do differently, but I'm under time constraints.

made a relay panel to mount under the dash using the airbag cover as an access door.



then test fitted the dash and switch panel

nope, not at all. 1st and 2nd gears are about 2 inches away from the hydro brake.
