IMO, two things destroyed this show:
-The dumbass Samuel storyline
-The way they handled Peter's reaction to Sylar's killing of Nathan.

Both were completely retarded and ruined the show to its core.

^^^Word. I don't know how they could have let it go on and get that bad... it's like the writer's forgot any comic book or anime they've ever seen.

1) Peter should have gotten all his powers back, bcuz he would've needed them for #2

2) Peter should have gone waaaaay more psycho nuts on both his Mom AND Sylar for what was done to Nathan.

3) Sylar should have narrowly survived getting Peter's ass kicking and ended up at the carnival to heal from the the mental damage.

4) Upon quickly regaining his memories, Sylar should have killed Samuel's hoe-ass and took over the carnival and lead that shit like Magneto lead Genosha. Sylar wants power? What better way to get it than have your own personal super-powered army?

5) While leading the Carnies, Sylar continues to moonlight as Nathan to attain the Presidency on the side...

I seriously could care less about everybody else's storyline... as the central villian, they all should generally revolve around Sylar and his badassery.

Exactly! Such a shame, I was hooked on it for a while. Netflix had all the seasons so I got to sit down at just watch them all the way through...

I knew it was going to happen eventually, they really ruined what could have been great running show, not sure what they were trying to do but they failed miserably. It was getting retarded after the second season and they never had peter fight sylar full out with no mercy.

I liked every season except the most recent one with the whole carnival story line. I really thought it was a complete waist. I'll just watch season one over and over again because that was truely the best season.

I gotta say, season 3 was my favorite:
-Arthur Petrelli manipulating and pwning everybody...
-Sylar's journey to meet his Dad. Oh God, the potential storylines there!!!
-Sylar working with the government to capture 'specials'...

The progression of the characters was all over the place, and that's what killed the show for me. I didn't really like it after season 2...
