0 oil pressure at idle

So my oil pressure at idle drops to 0 once the engines warmed up.
im thinking its the sending unit for my gauge though cause the engine seems very happy and I beat the shit out of it. I cant hear any knocking or any noises youd hear with no oil pressure. you can let it idle for an hour no problems

just wondering if anyone else has experience a sending unit failure like that before and if they are common

Its cheap insurance to replace it. I wouldn't risk it.

I had the same thing happen on another car. Once warmed up if I came to a stop the pressure would drop to 0, replaced the oil pressure switch/sending unit and the problem went away.

+1 on bad sending unit...I looked at my cams to see oil flowing...it was frustrating as mine also had a beep when it fell below 1 PSI...

sounds like sending unit failure for oil pressure gauges is fairly common.

I also noticed the gauge needle seemed to kind of stick a little shortly before it failed

like I said I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary so I can say with confidence its an oil sending unit failure
