I'm loving this game so much.
This game along GTA:V...yeah, don't really feel the need to buy a new console.

I said screw it. I did the infinite money exploit. I had 4 million already, but I was just like F it. Takes a bit of time to do it, but I just want the cars. I usually buy cars just to have them not even drive them lol. But with the new physics I want to try out some cars. Just bought 20 mercedes vision which comes out to 400 million credits after you sell them without the updated patch lol. But you can only do 20 million at a time. You have to keep deleting the game and reinstalling, but oh well.
I did buy a RE Amemiya rx-7 before I decided to do this. I have to say its a great car, handles awesome. Can go flat out around a lot of turns, no partial throttle or pedal lift. I used it for the gt300 class races. Currently one of my favorite series to drive. Plus they sound BOSS at idle lol.

Yeah, there's a few cars with description glitches. Check out the Pozzi Motorsports Camaro. Mentions the WRC in the description, haha.

Just got GT6. Before playing it, I was frustrated by the percieved lack of improvements that I was seeing online. After playing it... Nah, I'm good. Faith is restored!
A few things ppl here aren't mentioning: - GT6 doesn't recognize GT5 data. So no extra Credit bonus for us old heads. - The game forces you to buy a POS Honda Fit as your first car... So no, you can't start out with a 240. - The game offers big brake kits and nitrous oxide for sell again, unlike GT5. - You can slightly customize the aero on standard cars, like taking wings off and stuff. - Custom Wheels: You can actually increase your wheel diameter 2 sizes over stock. Selection ain't too bad either. - Physics - Get ready to learn to drive all over again. Can't make my MR2 grip for shit right now... The new tracks are fun and I'm glad to have Apricot Hill back (with time adjustability too! Night Drifting on Apricot Hill anyone?) Can't wait to have an All Star Bash drift room on Willow Springs... Yeah... Very much worth the buy if anyone was debating it. |

just saw this thread lol!
been playing GT for years!!! ^ whats your psn? lets get some driving sessions going on!! AGREE this game is worth the buy. Had to re-learn how to drive in this one, the driving characteristics are much improved. Anyone using a steering wheel while you play? INSOMNIA_HAZE - add my PSN! has anyone noticed the R34's flip over very easily? It does kickflips all day! Last edited by Scope240sx; 01-07-2014 at 11:50 AM.. Reason: race car |

There was a big long list of Zilvia users' PSN names buried somewhere in this thread. Most of us are still active... I'm still just starting though. The game won't let me play online yet and I don't have many competitive cars right now anyways. I'd rather go through the game slowing than doing the money cheat. |

oh ok I'll look thru the pages and hopefully find it somewhere!
yeah get thru the game slow no need to do a cheat, they give you the cars you need 1/2 the time. Are you using the controller or a steering wheel set up? |

Just do the seasonal events. The cash rewards are generous.
I'm having way more fun with this than I did with GT5. Just the load times alone are way more bearable, which is enough for me to consider it a huge upgrade.

Also, is it me or are the license tests waaay easier to gold on? I remember with previous titles, it'd take me a few attempts, but now I'm just getting gold on the first try.
In contrast, those damn coffee break cone challenges are a pain in the ass.

Personally, I think I just give more of a damn on the License tests so I try harder than in previous versions... When I see all those damn speed trails of my friends who were faster than me, it invokes a certain feeling of "Fuck That!" and I start trying harder to beat them instead of the target time...lol
You are right tho, the Coffee Break stuff is hard and I've only just done the first one! |

Ok, after playing this game for a while, I have come to the conclusion that this is the most perfect & complete Turismo game since GT3. The menu accessibility is just far beyond the previous games.
I must say also, that I can't believe they've finally given the S13 some credit. Mine only has 445pp but it is, hands down, the fastest, most agile and most fun car in my garage at this moment. I have to confess though, I have some stuff in my garage that I haven't driven yet, but this is the best handling S13 of any Turismo game I've had in the past. Oh and the Materhorn? That's my new shit right there. Love it. Gonna make a Sport Soft/Night Touge room there and a Night Drift room for Willow Springs soon. My only gripe is that my MR tuning skills don't work in this game anymore. My poor MR2 can't put down traction for anything. |

Yeah man, the hatch is pretty sweet. Haven't really had much time to play with the coupe or the S14's, except to throw coilovers and wheels on them. The S15 is cool, but it's wheel fitment still disappoints me. It handles all right, but I haven't really dug into it yet to see how it really compares to the S13 yet. I can only imagine it being better than the older car, but who knows?
If I can get my Z32tt to put it's power to the ground as well as my S13 hatch does, I'll be a happy camper. |

What are your guys' tune specs for your S13? Mine is a little more tail-happy compared to my GT5 S13 and it's basically the same settings.

I slam the ride height, of course. I also run full weight. I pretty much just use what makes sense in real life. Just got an exhaust, downpipe and a tune. Just raced a Spoon Civic up and down Matterhorn Rotenboden at night. Shit was like Kaido Racers in there. I'd kill him in the corners and he'd use nitrous uphill to get back on my ass. Talk about fun.
Spring rates: front - 10.35 rear - 8.18 Compression: 6 all around Extension: 8 all around Anti-Roll Bars: Front - 5 Rear - 3 No Camber LSD Initial torque: 30 Accerlation: 15 Braking: 20 Responds well to a big turbo, however you might want a little camber at that point. But now that I've driven a few more cars, I'd rather run something mildly tuned than a big turbo S-chassis. Up to about 475pp, the S-chassis is perfect to me. Getting closer to 500hp, I want something more mild and less on the ragged edge of performance. I just discovered the GTR's. Goddayum. Especially the R34. But I have found something to gripe about: I love now that you can restrict the country of origin and even the manufacturer for cars in online races now. So I can finally have JDM only rooms without having to constantly police it. But there isn't a way to restrict the country/manufacturer AND set a PP or HP limit. I hope they fix that in an update. I want a JDM 450pp+ room that I don't have to constantly police. |

I need to put slicks on my RUF BTR so bad...that car is awfully tailhappy, but is so rewarding if you can keep the rear end in control.

Yeah it seems MR cars need to be treated differently than before. I'm noticing the same issue with my NSX.
RANT: Why the fuck are there 21340124 Miatas?

And after you get past the ocean of Miatas, you'll see a sea of FD3S RX7's. There are quite a few R34 GTR's too. Not sure what else has rediculous amounts of duplicates.

^^^Man, I hope they put in the Nismo IDX. Itching to race it against some FRS's. I doubt they'll show the Stinger any love though. Should be getting the Z06 Vette and the 2015 Nismo GTR at some point though. Any other new cars you guys looking forward to them adding?
Fixed my Z32. It's faster than any of my S-Chassis now. So much torque. And that wide tract just gobbles corners up... Gotta race it against the newer Z's and see who comes out on top, then start a Silvia/Z/GTR room. |

I got sick of my BTR constantly spinning due to snap oversteer. Bought a CTR-2 (993) and it's a little more manageable since it's AWD...even though it makes so much power that the inside front wheel spins while trying to turn. It's pretty funny.
Also, the RE Amemiya RX-7 (the blue one) is an absolute grip monster, even with the Stage 3 turbo and engine. Even when it does step the ass end out, it's very controllable.

Yeah, I can't tell if I'm just not tuning MR/RR's right or if the game is broken. Ppl using Lotus and NSX online don't seem to be having problems. But then again, they might be doing stuff like changing the weight distribution and running crazy toe angle, which I just philosophically disagree with and refuse to do.

Yeah, if I gotta do all that, I'd rather not even drive the car. Breaks the whole supposed 'realism' of Turismo, IMO. I try not to do mods I wouldn't do in real life.
But I have been going crazy taking wings off of cars though... lol... Most look much better/cleaner de-winged & with +2 sized wheels. But the MKIV Supra's wing can't be removed... What kinda crap is that?! |

I'm praying for an MR/RR fix in a later patch myself, but until then that seems to be the only way to drive alot of them, atleast the ones that I've messed around with anyway.
I want to start doing some online racing and drifting(badly lol) once I get some well tuned cars in my garage. Feel free to add me. PSN: nj-dh |
