I need help identifying a film I watched when I was a young kid, which I loved.

It featured this guy going to illegal drag races, and the guys were using Nitrous Oxide (or similar), and blowing up their cars racing.

Also featured some girl (there was a sex scene). At one point he sticks some money on the screen and tells her she can keep it if she can get it. Predictably, he then accelerates and she can't get it.

What film!?!?

BMW's The Hire short films were pretty neat.

Ronin
Gone in 60 Seconds (original, hated the remake)
The Driver
Vanishing Point
Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry
The Bourne movies had some good chases in them
The Italian Job (both original and remake)
Bullitt

I still have yet to see all the Shuto Kousoku movies as well as the whole live action Wangan Midnight movie.

The Transporter movies haven't done much for me. I like the first one's bank robbery car chase but that was about it.

The Matrix Reloaded (I think) had that one freeway chase that was pretty good, along with Bad Boys 2.

On a random note, I watched Heat again last night for the millionth time and noticed that when Robert De Niro steals the Ford Taurus wagon during the shootout, he reverses right into a Nissan 200SX notchback.

1- le mans
2- grand prix
3- days of thunder

Anybody who does not have le mans and grand prix as their top two racing movies of all time, in any order, fails at car movies. If you have not seen those movies, SEE THEM!!!!!!!!! Those are un-questionably the two best racing movies ever.

The storyline in le mans is pretty good, but the racing scenes are the fucking shit. That movie was actually filmed in a le mans race. The camera car actually ended up in the lead of the race at one point, but had to pull in because they had agreed not to mess with the running order. Those porsche flat 12's and ferarri flat 12's are fucking sex for the ears.

Grand prix has an incredible storyline and the racing scenes are also REALLY good. Not quite le mans good, but dope none the less.

PLEASE see those two movies before posting here, you will not regret it.
