that's the magic of engineering degrees. b/s is sufficient. and PHDs are pointless. :P

but yea... unless i find a company that will pay for a masters in lets say...business, then i'll probably just stay put. working for the gov't a masters grad makes money on a scale of "9" when u have a b/s u start at like a "5" or "7". to get to a 9 from 7 takes 1 year. so far i have never had someone tell me that i wasn't qualified enough. that's just my story though.

My Technical Title is "Project Manager/Engineering Designer".

I'm essentially a Mechanical Engineer without a degree (Working on that) and I'm in charge of Managing my own projects.

Company I work for modifies ISO Shipping Containers (Commonly referred to as Connex's or Sea Boxes) for Military and Private Use. If any of you military guys have ever seen a modified Container Overseas or on a Base, odds are that we made it or sold it.

I do ship repair and work in Sheetmetal. Combination Navy, Coast Guard, and the occasional corporate owned vessel (ie Cruise Ships (These are the best, because the crew stays on board, cooks and everything, free food almost whatever you want)I do not like my job though, contract work means 12+ hour days 7 days a week until the contract is completed, than you get to be off for a month or so than called back in for the next contract. Because of this I am also in school full time to get a computer engineering degree as I am tired of breaking my back on ships.

Wish you luck sir- how long you plan to work for before you return? I have a few buddies who worked in other careers for a while before doing the premed stuff and starting med school. Definitely nice to have a daily grind and chill out for a while...medicine grabs hold of your life and never lets go.

I'm graduating med school this year, will have an income for the first time in a few years when residency starts in July. Maybe even pick up another S chassis, most recent car was stolen about a year back.
