So last night i pulled into a parking spot and went to pull out and put the car in reverse and goes in fine and let the clutch out and nothing happen, no grinds or any noise besides the car revving. I checked around the shifter and under the boot but i dont see anything out of the ordinary. The car is a 98 kouki with a ka in it. I dont know what happen and im just looking for some suggestions. I know ill probably need a new tranny and thats fine but if there is a fix besides that let me know. I also have a spare sr tranny laying around, how hard is it to swap bellhousing. I have never done any tranny work besides swap out a clutch and flywheel.

does your 5th gear work?
My tranny broke and i lost 5th and reverse. When i took apart the tranny the fork inside was in pieces.

5th gear doesn't work .

yea your tranny is toast. I got pissed one time when i was drving and my tranny was acting up again and not going into 3rd so i just slamed it really hard. THen when i tried going into 5th it was gone.

Bellhousings are easy to swap.
