SR20DET direct replacement turbo options

Hi

My turbo is done.
I am looking into options and kind of on a budget since I am building another S body drag car at the same time
The options I have been looking at are Kinugawa and ISR turbos, does anyone have experience with these ?
Are there any other options to consider since I am on a budget ?

If you are on a budget and you are looking for something that is going to be reliable then you probably better off looking for a good used OEM turbo.. Not sure what you currently have but a s15 turbo is always a good upgrade for a s13 or s14 sr20. If you currently have a t25 even a standard t28 can be a nice little upgrade if you can find a good deal on one.

I dont have experience with the ISR or ebay turbos but I think its a good bet to stick with OEM or a trusted brand otherwise you may just end up spending more in the end..

depends on what other stuff you have fitted? if its all standard I would just fit a replacement of the one you have.

a bigger turbo will require mapping etc..

holset hx30 if you can find one lying around for cheap, or a garrett gt2860 will give you 340 odd hp. or just put a stock one on.
