i found it to be pretty funny, hell if i was honda i would've played off the whole scene to increase sales too... thing that i thought was interesting was that a good number of the cars in that commercial probably voided at least part of their warranty with those mods, not too smart for honda to promote that if u ask me
p.s. - if anyone remembers the new Impala commercial that played a couple months ago featuring old 60s impalas turned into lowriders and the whole scene that went with that its the same thing... just creative advertising |

Conscience? I don't think it has anything to do with that. It's not like these ricers don't know they will void their warranty. Anyway, funny commercial. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':alien:'>

I would also hop all over that like a fly on sh!t. The new CTR can run circles around 99% of modified 240sx's on a roadcourse. Don't let FWD/Honda-hatred blind you. The new Type-R's are no joke on the track. Neither are the old ones for that matter. |

Agreed-- there were two new Civic type-S (diluted USDM CTR) at SpeedtrialUSA on Saturday at Buttonwillow, and those things were taking porsche GT3s, BMW M3s, FD3S' and full-race prepped EK6 hatches on very, VERY well. It also helped that they were good drivers pushing it at pretty damn close to 10/10. This all took place in the Advanced run group (groupA). On that note, I can't say if they were modified other than rims -- the exhausts sounded REALLY nice at WOT on the straights, but they weren't that loud. I think they were stock in that department too, but can't say about suspension or engine. They had plenty of body roll in the corners though-- which leads me to believe they didn't have particularly tweaked suspension... if any!! |
