Stella 620 (s13/V8 inside)


So I started this project in Oct. 2013 and am now a few weeks out from getting it running. It's not exactly S or Z chassis, but I'm using parts from each chassis. I also had some interest in the Fab thread for more info on it, so here we go.

A little background; I had a s13 hatch with a KA-t for a few years, but got board of it. Not of driving it, but just the car it self. The shell was getting beat to hell, and i didn't have the drive to put time into a chassis that is already built in every which way possible.

income some inspiration, with Chad Copeland and searching through the web for other similar builds. I decided to see what I could do and went for it, building something that was one-off from anything out there.

So some main details about the truck...
-1974 Datsun 620
-Complete S Chassis suspension swap (font and rear)
-1UZ-FE matched to a 350z High rev 6 speed.

on to the build photos...

-quick down, i remember cutting those front towers were a pain in the ass...








So, starting the fab...


















finishing up with the fab, and new parts.






















so thats pretty much a fast forward to now. i let a lot of pictures out, but you get the idea. i need to make the fore wall and trans tunnel. other than that its some wiring, the rest of the exhaust, and tuning. ill keep this updated for the next few weeks until its done.

Thanks for posting a build where you actually built something. Reminds me of the E2S drift ute. Fantastic job.

haha, thanks. mine was more inspired by the east coast version of this, and the 2J VW caddy over in Europe. wish i had the skills like E2S.

Thanks guys. Ill be working on this thing for he next year or so, but the first step of getting it on the road is done. Should be fun doing the rest. Little half throttle pull getting on the freeway today. Last little vid for now. I need to get to work on the interior now...
