chrome valve cover
hello fellas, i was looking at the underside of my valve cover and saw that there is this black stuff that almost looks like silicon or black hot glue does anyone else have this ? , i was wondering because im going to chrome my valve cover and my intercooler piping but i think the chroming process is going to take the silicon off... is that important ? or can i just put high temp silicon back on it after i get it finished ?

You mean the valve cover gasket? Um, yeah that's on all DE's. Carefully take that off before you send the cover for blinging.
