Charlotte has a decent hobbyist base from what I understand. Extensively, 240's have a weekly or monthly meet there at a Sonic Drive-In Restaurant if I'm not mistaken.
There are a few local forums, but I'm not sure and am too lazy to look to see if there are rules about posting about local forums. |

When I lived in Charlotte we went to"The ROCK" at Rockingham, NC to drag. Kind of far but always fun. Had car shows and races there. Charlotte and surrounding cities does have a noticeable import car scene.

garage = probably never going to get stolen, ever.
I've street parked (back when i drove it) all over downtown, never touched. parked in a driveway 3 miles from the center of downtown for 3 years, never touched, before that was in the south charlotte area, which is a little more "upscale" than the west or north side of charlotte pre 95 = no sniff test. People barely give a shit about inspection/smogging. A case of Miller High Life will get your modified car inspected with no problem, if you know the right people

There is a meet thread just below this one, that meet is this coming Saturday, you will be able to meet some of the other Charlotte-area guys who will be coming to it.
You should try to make it if you can.

i grew up in raleigh, but had friends in & visited charlotte a lot. charlotte has always had a big honda scene. but im sure now that the 'drifting & 240 craze' is in effect, that there are a few s-chassis' around
