Street Racer, i've never laughed harder at a movie in my life.
Street Racer (2008) (V) Tagline "At 130 MPH, you're never more ALIVE... or closer to DEAD!" I would definitely go rent it if you're looking for a good laugh. |

"2 Lane Blacktop" (I owned a 1955 Chevy, so I'm a bit biased)
"Vanishing Point" (Classic film, minimalistic yet artistc.) "Gone in 60 Seconds" (The original. Low budget, yet completely amazing when you know what they did with the cars.) "Gone in Sixty Seconds" (Up until the Bridge/Ambulance Jump, that scene KILLED the movie) "Bullitt" (Another classic "must see") "Gumball Rally" (Super Cars + Comedy + Cross Country Racing = WIN) "Cannonball Run" (An ALL-STAR cast, including Jackie Chan and "Jaws" in a Mitsubishi, nothing more need be said.) "Smokey and the Bandit" (Part 2 wasn't as good, and part 3 was AWFUL, but still funny.) "Blues Brothers" (Total Vehicular Carnage!) "MadMax" (Vengeful husband and father in a supercharged Interceptor. I still want a clutched SC on a V8 to this day!!) There are more, this is just a quick list.

did anybody ever catch the homage fast and the furious has to this movie?
"454 no shit" Two Lane Blacktop is an AWESOME road movie, and Criterion recently put out a great dvd. Gone In 60 Seconds (the new one, i've never seen the original) Vanishing Point Death Proof (it's about 40 minutes of real stunt driving with a real stunt woman on the hood of a real Challenger. this is the best car chase filmed in the last 20 years, i'm sure. Blues Brothers (seen it about 30 times probably) Road Warrior (less about the car in this one but i prefer it to Mad Max anyway) and... seriously, have any of you really watched Bullitt? everybody should sit through it once i guess, but it is an INCREDIBLY boring movie aside from what i thought was a subpar car chase. the only good part about it is the lack of CGI...
