you just need to make sure the car you pull the front spindles off of has ABS also.

(I'm sorry for digging up an old topic, especially an irritating 5 lug one which must have been asked about a million times. But at least I used search instead of starting a new topic!)

So I understood from this thread, that my ABS will work, if I make the 5 lug swap with S14 spindle. (I have RS13)

But because I really wouldn't want to redrill my Koni shocks for the bigger S14 strutbolts, I was wondering if the ABS sensor ring can be removed from the original S13 hub and be used with aftermarket 5 lug hubs such as Attein or GTO? This way the conversion would be really easy and would still retain the ABS.

Or alternatively, if the S14 hub is bigger than the S13 hub, could the S14 hub be lathed (don't know if this is the correct term, but my dictionary translated the finnish word to that) so that it would fit the hole in the s13 spindle?

Like I said , I'm terribly sorry for bugging you with stupid 5 lug questions, but I havent managed to find this ABS + 5 lug swap info anywhere, I thought it would be OK to ask.

Any info regarding the subject will be deeply appreciated.

Use S14 ABS hubs. Simple.

That sorts out the drilling of the struts, but the main question was could the abs sensors be taken off from the old 4 lug hubs and then be used with new aftermarket hubs (Attain or GTO). This way I didn't need to swap the spindle at all and make the swap just so much easier. Using conversion hubs would be sweet, but I'll need that ABS!!

second hand S14 parts are just so damn hard to find around here and I cannot afford to buy new ones from a Nissan dealer.

If you have spare 5 lug swap parts laying around your garage and youre willing to send them to Finland, send me a message and tell me your price.

I need it, for MOT. I know it's not the best ABS system in the world, but it's at least something. And if I want to get rid of it, I'll put a switch to the ABS relay. That way ABS can be switched on and off when needed. It's better to do it that way than just ditchin the sensors.
