New Driver, New to 240SX's, Which one should I buy?
I'm a new driver and I'm also new to 240sx's, so I don't know that much about cars. I found 2 decent looking ones on craigslist, but I don't know anything more than they look nice . Sooooo I was kinda hoping someone could help me out and give me tips on which one would be the best buy?

2nd one is decent, first one is asking way too much for a pretty much stock s13 with a salvage title. if i were you id keep looking and find one a little closer to stock that you know will be reliable

Buy the salvage title car. If this is your first car / first driving experience you will most likely total it anyways. Best to not destroy any remaining clean s-chassis's for the rest of us.

No it's not my first driving experience I can drive and everything, I'm just knew to 240sx's. 2 of my family members have them so that's why I'm interested in them.

HAHAHA thats funny!!! I'm my opinion buy the first one, it is less modded, therefore it means less headaches, but the price is also kinda high, have you tried other Craigslist in other states??? some dude here in AZ is selling a clean as coupe for 3gs, it leaves you with room to play with... Good luck....

I will admit if the second one is using legit parts, its clean and nicely done, you don't get that to often here. Wheels are a lil wide or it needs overfenders IMO if you don't wanna get pulled over. Rolling around in SD like that Im suprised. The price is up to the seller, I wouldn't spend that much for a 240SX not that the cars aren't nice, your paying a lot more than its actually worth.

I know what an Idiot!!! I wish I had extra cash lying around, pick up a cheap as CRX fix it make it look nice and trade for the coupe, so I can save it from falling into the hands of a hondaboi, I know the first thing he's gonna do is cut the springs, put a roof rack get some shitty as 18x7 + 40 offset wheels and say its herraflush!!!!!

First one actually belongs to another member on this forum. Would never buy a single cam for 4300. EVER. You want a car that'll get you from A-B? The second one is a bit of an overkill. If you want to get into modding, find a stock one & work from there. If you want instant popularity amongst your circle jerk buddies? Go with the second one. Keep your enemies close though, your car would be eye candy for Temecula/909 thieves and even more local folks. The S-Chassis can be money pits. A lot of us in this "community" that daily our crappy S-Chassis are regretting our choice of DD & dreaming of the day they get to drive another car. A lot of people that have the S-Chassis usually are dick riders or are in denial OR have immaculate chassis which is very rare. |

honestly if you have 4300, keep looking youll find something nice for 3500-4000 instead of buying that souped up hatch or that overpriced stock

Buy a civic to daily. Buy a 240 if you like to stare at it in you're garage/driveway 80% of the time and actually have it running the other 20%.
Really though, buy a daily, then worry about getting a 240. Also, try to track down the most unmolested car possible, it makes everything a lot easier.

I wouldn't buy either one. Try to find a car that's as close as possible to stock. That way, it'll have less headaches to deal with from previous idiot owners, and you can build it yourself. Who knows, you might actually learn something!
