lol.
That was the day my car was running on 2 or 3 cylinders most of the day (turns out the wiring for injectors seemed to be real loose and cutting in and out). So, I would get power and then no power. It sucked. That's why I would understeer some of the track. I lost all power! I sold it in September I believe. I took most of it apart, kept some stuff, sold some stuff. SPEEDHUNTERS feature. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2008...style-s13.aspx

okay...so what size wheels and tires did you have on your car. my stupid KA barely spins 16x8 bbs with 215 60's. your wheels look huge! and your aero story...much better than mine...
I drove home...bumper dragged on the ground...fixed it with zipties...then I hear voom! and look in the mirror real quick. see my side skirt flying through the air.. come to find out..my front middle section that chow crashed into ripped off, taking the right skirt with it..and shredding into pieces on the 14 on the way home from track...haha trust me...I feel your pain. oh, and railroad tracks on time took my rear bumper off...haha that was interesting..good thing people swirv. <---stock ka with exhaust..haha |

fronts would be
17x9 0 offset. 215/40-17 Federal ss595 Rears would be 17x9 0 offset. 215/45-17 Federal ss595 In my opinion, these tires are the biggest I am comfortable running with the KA. (please keep in mind too, different tires account for something. I used to run 225/45=17 Falken ST115s and LOVED them. The Federal ss595 215/45-17 are pretty equal to the Falkens of the larger size. I usually do tire pressure on the rear right around 40. I rarely check them or fill them. As far as tires/wheels, I'm running the same thing on the new car (however, different front tires. Direzza Z1 215/40-17) I hope this new car can spin everything just the same. We'll find out.

Well, I figure this s13 will be lighter than the 14.
The 14 had full interior and sound deadening and all that jazz. The 13 is all stripped out and I would assume is lighter to begin with. I hope for the best!

lol, Jack's color and mine are pretty different.
Mine was from Toyota. Speedway blue. I was going to paint my new car the same colour again, but then I REALLY think my car would look like jack's. New car - stock KA. I cannot justify putting a SR20 into a car of mine.

Oh, I have no idea about weight.
All it has left on the inside is dash, cage, front seats, door panels. I took out all the paneling, carpet, sound deadening, a bunch of wiring, etc.

I started getting a lot better at judging the barrier closeness at the last couple events I did. I started being able to get right on them almost every time. It's pretty fun to see just how close you can get without touching.
I don't know when I'll be comfortable enough in the new car to do that though. aha, HTM yeah. oh well though. That's why I started buying 2 full kits at a time.

Your link went to balcony only...unless I missed something.
Did you mean to link to a HTM video?

Oh, well the Balcony video looks fine.
Looks just like how I do it. Shoot, I usually mess up the manji down the straight. I only get it all the way maybe half the time. However, I haven't even tried it for quite some time. Maybe on the 15th I'll go for it. the thing with linking HTM is that (as far as I'm concerned) I have to get the line absolutely perfect. It's pretty hard and again, I can't do it everytime. I clutchkick up the hill while at the top of 2nd, then slide through the top hill and usually stab at the brakes too (which probably kills so much speed). then try to get as wide and far down the hill as possible before I transition back. As soon as I get it drifting to the left, it's handbrake, handbrake, handbrake all the way down. Then BAM punch the throttle again right down at the apex. then try and guide it back through that little uphill part and over the right hander. THEN, it gets crazy as you start to go down the hill toward the water tower. I'm too scared to get it into 3rd, so I'm just WAYYYY high in 2nd. Best way to see that is in the IN CAR i posted.
