I've never used Ichiba rears, but I do know that their front bearings are complete DOG SHIT.

I've had over 3 pairs of the fronts and my friend's have used 2 sets as well.

After my first set's bearings FELL OUT upon removal for inspection, I warrantied them only to get another set that had bearings that made progressively worse road noise after less than 1500 miles.

After that crap I pressed in my old 2193871298732+ mile bearings from my old OEM hubs (because I was broke) and that totally fixed my problem.

After that I bought another set of used ones and pressed in new OEM bearings and that solved my issue.

After watching the video of the rear hubs though... that's fucking sad. I will never buy a car with REAR Ichiba.

IMO there's no real reason to, because the NA 300zx and S14 SE hubs are direct bolt on and are relatively easy to find.

That is called piss poor quality control then. You got parts in spec while other people's parts are far from it.

i am also on ichiba.

front and rear.

tracked and driven to the track ~100 to sometimes 330 miles.

i did use oem on my wifes car but got them for smoking deal.

I too have been using Ichiba forever it seems and they are fine.

Might be a bad batch due whatever circumstances.

Just hit up Ichiba, they have a one year warranty last time I checked when I used to sell them.

Hmmm... from what I can see, those with problems have problems getting their parts warrantied.

when i bought my OE front hubs from ray at west covina nissan, he said the hubs are rated at around 150k miles before the bearings start to go bad.

well if you mention to ray you're a zilvia member he can work w/u on price...he did for me at least. got the fronts for about 200 bucks. not bad for brand new oe hubs if you ask me...especially since the ebay versions are around 160.

Also, last time I checked, when you press bearings out, that typically ruins them. How did you press your olds out and reuse them?

Yes, that has been covered, you have to replace the whole hub. However you can replace the bearings on a S13 like a normal car with out replace the hubs.

However when you push out the old bearings from a hub, it normally destroys them.

It just worked. I didn't know that happened with these bearings because it's never happened to me and I've done it like 3 or 4 times.

i've had clunking noise comming from a customers ichiba hub, but after taking it off to inspect and putting it back on, it went away. weird. can't beat the price but if you have the money, go OEM.

Never seen a destroyed bearing by pressing it out. The outer race usually pops off and stays seated on the hub, just use a bearing splitter to remove it, then press it back on the bearing. No harm done.

Front Ichiba hubs I purchased didnt "bolt on" at all. Far from it. Snap ring was incorrect (swapped with OEM ring), bearing seal not pressed in all the way. Not impressed.
