ECU matching

I'm looking at running an obd1 ecu in an obd2 car. is this possible? I don't have to worry about emmisions where I'm from so I just need to know what needs to be done to run it? Isn't there some pinouts i need to move around or what? Thanks guys i appreciate it. The ecu is an obd1 s14 ecu and my car is a 97 so it's obd2 and both are ka ecu's

I don't know the details but obd1 ecu in 96+ car is possible and has been done many times. But the car won't pass the check engine test at an inspections if you ever had to.

I cant remember if there are any pin changes, but look for a pinout of a 95 and 97 and see if you need to change any wires. I believe the ecu uses the same plug.

There are differences, check jwt's website for instructions on running an 96 ecu in a 97-98 s14.
