Coilovers blown
So theres this guy selling JIC coilovers and he thinks one is blown. Is there anyway I can tell there blown with out putting them on the car? I want o buy them. But I dont want to pay what hes asking if one is blown. And if one is blown how do I rebuild it?

I checked a buddies coilover by lowering the spring all the way down and pushing the strut/damper down and if it comes up or is too hard to push down than it's fine, if it stays compressed where u pushed it down than it is blown or if it comes up really slow it is blown. Hope that helps

id be careful with JIC coilovers, make sure they are the dampening adjustable, because from what i hear the non-adjusting arent rebuildable. if they look oldschool id say save some moola till you see a nice set up on craigslist/zilvia/norcaldrift
