Not to take away from people selling parts on here, but if this really is a perfect throttle cable for the swap, for the sanctity of this thread and helping out the community. Rockauto sells them new as well.

Hey guys haven't been on here in a while but I am parting my 2j car out. It was fun while it lasted. Motor and tranny have been sold but I have a nice fuel line kit made to run down the opposite side of the chassis and a crossover exhaust if anyone is interested and local. Ad is on craigslist... http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/pts/5025141994.html

I actually got some CXRacing mounts for free, i could tell you from the start that you need to make a bushing hole for the transmission bracket.

The white does look real nice. Makes me excited to get my engine dropped in as I painted mine championship white with a nice high gloss euro style clear finish on it last Fall. First time painting with an HVLP gun I picked up at harbor freight. Used the autozone Duplicolor paint shop Championship white, multiple light even coats and made sure not to have any runs. Let it sit a week or so to let it gas off completely since its lacquer, then put Custom Shop brand 2 part euro style clear I picked up online from TCP Global. Custom Shop Ultra Flow Urethane Clear and hardener. Looks great.

Which one? The thick walled one? Or ssautochrome clone?

I'm sure it's been covered, but searching for a few days now had come up with nothing.

What have you guys done to get a good speed signal?
I'm running a JDM 2J with a 350z trans using the Collins kit.
I over looked the fact that the 350z gets it's speed signal from the diff and not the trans.
So I'm kinda inbetween swapping my diff for a j30 or maybe an s15 and running a Dakota digital to calibrate, or just run a gps speed sensor and use the Dakota to calibrate that.

Either way should work, just seeing what you guys have done and how it works out.
Any suggestions?

^^^Use that for ease of use. I talked to a guy who used it in his SC 2j/z33 trans set up and he liked it.

Since the pump is gravity fed, I wanted the PS reservoir as high as possible so I've relocated my reservoir to next to the BMC and clutch master. I had done this prior for top mount KA-T but makes sense for JZ as well.

Here's an SR with the reservoir tucked in the back

The S13 reservoir also pitches the feed hose at an angle towards the pump. I'm curious what others have done. I had a friend try to retrofit the NA 2JZ reservoir-on-pump but he had some issues with it, can't quite remember. I'll have to get him to post up.

Beech performance reservoir with beech pump adapter. Reservoir mounted on shock tower where old one was, no problems so far.

quick question about your a/c setup sky80.

1.) was the condenser moved forward as well for radiator clearance?
2.) I'm assuming you're using the stock s14 a/c condenser too?
3.) do you have a pusher fan on the condenser?

I'm looking to get my a/c working in the coming weeks, way too hot in florida, planning to ditch the mishimoto fan for the altima fans. You mentioned that your setup has been fine in 100 degree weather so i'll most likely be going this route.

1.) was the condenser moved forward as well for radiator clearance? Yes I did, you will need to notch the lower part of the car in the area. You will see when you start to push it forward. Let me take some pics

2.) I'm assuming you're using the stock s14 a/c condenser too? Yes I am

3.) do you have a pusher fan on the condenser? No I don't, I have thought about adding one as right now I just have my fans either on or off.

ok thanks i see what your saying. another question: with your radiator pushed forward, installed with the altima fans how much clearance is there from the motor? have a picture of that by any chance?

Hello, has anyone considered having a custom radiator built specifically for this swap ?

CBRD has a ultra thin 1in radiator made specifically for EVOs but could be adapted to a s13/s14 chasis. I would like the ability to run puller fans without have to hack up the radiator support or ditch my a/c condenser.

I contacted CBRD about doing a custom radiator. If you are un-familiar with his work please do a google search. He sells one of the best radiator on the market. http://www.cbrdspeedfactory.com/cbrd...slim-radiator/

CBRD told me he thinks he can help us out but needs measurements. I'm currently deployed so I don't have access to my car but if one of you can provide the measurement we might get a easier/better cooling solution to our overheating blues. He needs a drawing with placement (measurements on center) for the inlet/outlets/mounts etc. Can any of you provide that to me please.

Thanks,
Cole d

My friend finished up some more fab work so it was time for me to throw the engine into the car for the first time and have him work on my intercooler piping.

The Freed Engineering mount kit paired with the Cusco solid mounts is a match made in heaven. Everything fit perfectly and there is so much room for activities between the firewall.
