my neighbor had a 89 with a moon roof im not sure thats what he said. my clutch pedal got sticky so he checked it out and told me that i had a cut in the rubber hose of my clutch cylinder was cut/leaking fluid. since he was scraping his car he gave me his clutch master cylinder and told me it was hicas and to install it in mine and it would be fine. so i did and i filled it dot3 brake fluid and bleed it. im not sure if i did this right because my pedal is sticky still i feel slight pressure the closer i get to the floor but its still sticky i put the fluid in the right container and its full and holding fluid. do i need to bleed it again can someone teach me the right way or tell me if this part should not be on my car his car 89 5spd hatch my car 90 5spd hatch.

the transmissions are the same basically there are 2 ways you can blead you can get a self bleeding kit where you pull fluid through the system by yourself or you can do the old fashioned way of having someone pump the clutch and then hold it to the floor while you open the bleeder valve. The second way requires you to repeat the process until you get a firm stream of fluid with no air in it.

make sure you take your time in bleeding the lines too, that dampner box makes bleeding the clutch a bitch, make sure the car is level when bleeding the lines
