Sr20de-t

I've got an s15 spec s with a na sr20de and I'm looking into buying a turbo kit for it. Stationed in Japan and tired of seeing the spec r running everywhere my question is if I get a turbo for it I'm not looking for high boost maybe 10 psi for now. Can I use my stock ecu or do I need to run the det ecu with det injectors.

Yo dude, your best bet is to find another motor. Take your motor out and rock around with a turbo'd SR until JCI is up. When you go in for shaken throw stock motor back in place.

SR20DET's are not expensive in Japan. Go hang out at the Autohobby shop and meet some of the local dudes. You're just not looking around well enough. And no, Pulsar motors are FWD.

Yes, you can keep your transmission. And I'm not joking about going to the Auto Hobby shop and asking questions/meeting people. There is far more direct knowledge on this swap within 15 minutes of Misawa than on this forum. Your perspectives for your car change with what you can feasibly get your hands on.

Good call my friend! And do your self a huge favor and take some Japanese college courses if you haven't. Learning their language goes sooooo far in returns to you. I'm just speaking from my own experience from being at Yokota for 4 years.

I'm thinking I'm gonna buy a set of coilovers and a nice body kit for it. Found a really nice aftermarket trial one on yahoo auctions Japan. Gonna work on my suspension during the winter then work on forced induction during the spring

doing the same thing as you, with my Spec S. Have 95% of stock parts for the swap. Doing stock Spec-R harness ecu turbo etc.

SR20DE's are dirt anyways. S14/S15 block not so much, compared to the states. Don't bother with a redflop sr not worth the headache.

Sblack what's up man. Please keep me up to date on how your doing this. I had a spec r pull up next to me in Aomori and I nearly melted. That thing was sexy as hell. So how you doing it? Sr20det?
