Clutch Issues, need help ASAP, SR

Please help me, i dont know much about clutches or what happens when a clutch is dead. like 2 days ago on the way to work i felt like i had to push the clutch pedal in further to get the trans into gear. Then if i let off the clutch pedal like 1/2 inch it would start to catch(or without enough gas die). So today I go to get in my car and I start it, push the clutch to the floor and get nothing. I cant get the trans into gear for anything. I was stuck in neutral. (car used to be auto so i dont have to use the clutch to start it). I then turned the car off, put the trans in 1st, put the clutch pedal to the floor and started the car. it started fine and was in gear. i let off the clutch maybe 1/4 inch with the e-brake on and the car jumped and stalled after sputtering for a second. Now my trans is stuck in 1st gear. Its an s14 sr.

I dont know whats going on and dont have another car so need help ASAP.
Thanks,
Taylor

Sounds like the clutch hydraulics took a shit.

Check the master and slave for leaks. It's probably the slave that died.

yep. check your clutch fluid. make sure its full. check for leaks on the floorboard by the pedals, check the rubber line between the damper and the slave if you still have the damper.

yeahh..u got a leak somewhere.

i had the same problem a few months ago.
was heading to work in the morning and after going 3-4 blocks..my clutch went dead and i couldn't get it into gear. towed it to the shop and found out it was leaking. decided to just replace the whole setup.

make sure not to make your clutch too tight afterward. my mechanic did that and i didn't realize it at first and my 2nd mechanic told me and loosened it a bit.

good luck~
