S14.5 Oregon Revamp

Picked up a non complete s14.5 that had been built beat and left out in the elements to Die.. Oh yeah someone genuis had installed a huge sunroof on it which leaked like a mojo and painted (rattle canned ) the top 50% of the car...

[IMG][/IMG]

Cons when i first picked her up.

She was over revved with a Down Shift from hell
5th to 2nd and kaboom bye bye top end...
not to mention when all of this happened he was on the freeway and the hood flew up ( tommy boy style ) funking up the VIS S15 CF Hood
she had a bad boost leak and a T28 that had been starved of the proper oil it needed as they had a jimmy rigged banjo bolt ( of sorts ) out of the block feeding the turbo. Also had compressor surge from the leak being at the Greddy downpipe, sounded like a turkey LOL

First thing addressed was the fender and headlight bracket assembly. The front bumper was literally bracketed to the Head light assembly and drooping... Welding time

[IMG][/IMG]

Next we addressed new brake pads all around. the fronts came with 6 piston rotoras very nice indeed !

[IMG][/IMG]

Now it was on to fix the horrible " two tone try out "
this should do for the time being

Also something i didnt note before is that we are using a top mount fuel rail and top mount injectors and still able to retain the Stock Intake Manifold.... clearance from bottom of intake mani to top of fuel rail is maybe 3 sheets of paper...

lots of machining to make this work but well worth it and definatly a one off

Finally got the fittings for the Coolant port on the block and the Port on the Water Neck and the ports on the Turbo. Lines made up and going to picked up this am. Car is 98% start ready. need to call Haltech and ask a few questions about the fresh air calibration and the pre start process.

planning to replace the drivers harness this weekend. Talked with Eric at Haltech Tech Support yesterday to get clarity on a few things for calibration and start up.

Ordered up new lines to be made for the coolant feed and return including the feed fitting for the water neck and the return for the block $130 later.

got the coolant feed and return lines and fittings figured out today... Slow progress but ill take it
