Rusty S14 is right about it trapping heat. I cut my cover at the rear so only the ignitor stays on. Which ecu did you get? and if your going blow through check out the tech section. A company sells modified mustang HPX sensors that have the VQ curve of the Z32 maf but will flow more and idle great. The install into the cold pipe will be way neater too since it's just a slot flange. If you go that route tell them the size of your intercooler pipe so they can calibrate the sensor to that size pipe.

I have a tomei rb20 ecu. And I plan to clamp the maf voltages to what I want with AEM FIC, and adjust my fuel trims to what I want with AEM FIC

GOT MY FIRST DRIVE TODAY

and almost crashed at the same time. No powersteering = SUCK.

This turbo.... is just freaking amazing on all levels. 5psi before 3k rpm ( only took it to 3k rpm )

turbo spools so damn loud

but still got issues to settle.

oh yeah definitely. I only took it to 3k rpm and probably like 1/4 mile total distance.. I almost crashed into the sidewalk because of the no power steering.. Trying to take a U- turn with no powersteering sucks.

Unless the paint on the body, wheels, and bay was terrible why did you have to spray everything in pesant black? And judging buy the white specs on the bay did you even prep or prime it for that matter?

The body was disgusting, and still looks disgusting. The wheels I didn't do.

The bay no.

I'm not trying to make it a beauty queen just yet.

also I don't know why everyone hates the RB20 soooo much.. it cruises out of boost just fine like any normal car,

yes it doesn't have any kick out of boost. but as soon as the turbo spools it goes crazy.( assuming your not on stock turbo )
btw I'm seeing 12psi by 4500rpm on this thing. ( farthest I've taken it because my intercooler pipes keep blowing off ) so tightening everything down.
and the RB20 sounds pure awesome.

OK guys everyone that has been following me I need some suspension opinions.

My stock suspension is crap, the back end bounces around and my car is kinda lop sided hah ( probably from tires )

anyway's whats a decent STREETable suspension setup. NOT for scraping/hellaflush/ crazy camber/ drifting.

just something that I can lower the car an inch or so, and have a good ride that won't feel dangerous on the high way

Actually gonna pick up some KYB struts and lowering springs. 1.5 front 1.2 back drop I think ( or maybe reversed )

should do the trick. I just want stock or better drive-ability.

Why? It only makes wrouting an intake harder. I have it setup and tuned with my AEM and I am only using the Maf to keep the ecu happy.

I am not TUNING off the maf at all. The ecu is not correcting off the maf at all. I am Clamping the maf voltages and sending the ecu whatever Voltage I tell it. I have it setup where the maf tells the ECU what I want it to at what RPM I want it to. and I have 100% control over fuel trims.

The maf isn't Doing anything except Feeding a signal to the AEm and the AEM is feeding the Voltages I TELL IT to the ecu so it doesn't put it in limp mode.

I actually Ordered STAGG struts and Megan springs. When I posted that I was about to order the KYB, but chose Stagg instead.

The STAGG struts have good reviews everywhere and are fine with drops at 2 inches or less.

I'm only dropping an inch I think I'll be fine. If it's too low I'll use stock springs. too high.. well that's ok.

Also having some issues that I need to tune out.. breaking up at high boost and and running too rich @ high boost..

more tuning tuning.. I'm getting the break up at 24.9 psi on it. Which I think is kinda excessive amount of boost already.. but I'm shooting for 25 on 91, and 30-32 on E85 ( later )
