the best way would prolly be to get a 1/2in piece of plywood and make your marks on that and cut out that and mock everything with it before you start an aluminum piece

Hello all,
Started my career recently and have been working on the car when I can. I am borrowing a friends JWT Rom tune for the time being and am taking the car to a drift event this weekend. I recently had to remove the supercharger to change the gasket between the intake manifold and supercharger adapter... I think one of the bolts started to vibrate loose consequently the gasket blew out. Other than that the setup functions flawlessly. I'm hoping with the JWT tune and the magnecore plug wires I ordered my breaking up issue will be resolved. You can see the gasket hanging out here: Supercharger removed: For the record. I am not selling these kits yet, however, I am still investigating the possibility... I feel like all the info you need is here in this thread to supercharge your KA24 (someone with a little bit of know how correct me if I am wrong). If you can't figure it out from my pictures and the info in this thread then chances are this project is not for you. I dont have CAD files of my tensioner plate or the adapter plate. I'm not trying to be a jerk Im just tired of my Inbox being full of "How do I supercharge my KA?" I have tried to be accommodating and answer most questions and will continue too.. Thanks for all the compliments! I will post pictures and videos of the drift event next week! -Grant |

Here is some pictures from the drift event. Car ran decent. Still having mysterious ignition issues at 10 psi so I ran it at 3 psi. As if the car isn't already different enough I'm ordering megasquirt. I'm going to make a new engine harness and start completely over with the fuel/spark management of this setup. Ill post updates on the megasquirt build as I make progress. Unfortunately, I don't have any videos of the event I completely forgot throughout the course of the day to throw my friends go-pro on the car.

It was in Green Cove springs, FL. about 40 minutes south of Jacksonville. A local guy hosted it and capped it at 10 drivers. It was a blast we all got a ton of track time!

Hey great KA24DE-R! I am shooting for something quite like that right now.
However, I will be mounting my SC on the exhaust side (it's not the frontier unit so it won't fit the intake manifold.) ANyway, I may be blind, but how and where did you get the right pulleys and belt? I have an 8 groove on my twin screw and I will need to fab something quite like yours... however, first need the right pulleys! Don't want to break belts everywhere, you know? |
