Easy 5Lug Silvia Question
I tried searching on teh intranet but couldnt find any direct answers.
Got a s13 silvia, ordered 5 lug ichiba fronts ordered new s14 rotors from Autovalue New rotors are smaller diameter than my stock silvia rotors. What rotors do I order? Found one site that says you use the altimas, 280 x 22mm, but are they 4 or 5 lug? another site said use 300 zx NA, which are 280 x 26mm, what do I order ? Thanks |

if it's an sr20det silvia than use 95 maxima rotors/pads. the pads are the same as 95 altima, but the 95 altima rotors are 4-lug, whereas maximas are 5-lug.
if it's got a ca18det then ur fucked.

just to get this right, you're sticking with the stock calipers?
here in germany, pignose had 257mm discs, chuki (facelift) got 280mm discs. i guess it's the same for CA and SR silvia. it would be best if you measure your current discs. if you have 280mm, the altima rotors should work. if you have 257mm, youre fukd, because i don't know if there are 257mm 5-lug discs around. and you would need different calipers to make the 280mms work iirc. my 180 had 280mm discs, because its a 93, therefore facelift. why not upgrade to ZX brakes anway? |

If you have 257mm then the rest of my post does not apply. This should give you 5x114.3 bolt pattern, everything else should be the same I'm not sure what S14 this is. Is this US spec S14, or Euro/JDM? I'm guessing they're US-spec S14 size because these are smaller. 4th gen 1995-1999 US-spec Maxima. 280x22mm, 5x114.3. Perfect fit for you. Quote:
These are the right diameter 280mm and have the right bolt patten 5x114.3, but they are slightly thicker than what your caliper was designed to use. I suppose that in a pinch you can try to squeeze them in, but I wouldn't do it if you have a choice. 4th gen 1995-1999 US-spec Maxima. 280x22mm, 5x114.3. |
