Monday I sold my '93 s13 coupe to get a new daily. Given that I couldn't not get a 240sx, I decided I wanted a Zenki again. Tuesday I flew out to Orlando to pick up a 1996 s14. Only "mod" done to it was a double din head unit - which was done by a shop. Lots of new parts on the car, 9.8/10 interior, regular maintenance, loved it. I was happy with the purchase.

After signing everything over I began my 12 hour journey home around midnight. About 5 hours into the trip I began questioning why at 75mph I was around 4200-4500 rpms.. It seemed a bit high. I also noticed when passing cars the acceleration from 70-80 seemed pretty quick.

After finally getting home I realized that on automatics when overdrive is off the car never goes into it's final gear.. Now I notice what sounds like a small exhaust manifold leak from the gasket. I imagine from driving 12 hours in 4th gear.
Noob mistake. Whoops. Regardless, I'm super satisfied with finally getting another clean s chassis.

Gallo 12 or 24 KA?? On the KA you can tell this by which side of the shifter the gearshift and overdrive buttons are at; if the button points towards the driver it's a Gallo 12, not very highly desirable or good quality engine.

I knew how the forum would react, that's why I posted here. I never owned an automatic before so I honestly just didn't know. It's not like my feelings are hurt haha. I think it's a pretty fucking silly mistake but hey, now I know.
