You either love the new civic si or you hate it. I happen to like it, however most people on here prolly think differently. It should have come with the RSX 6spd in it though, like in the JDM Civic R. That's a pretty nice car for a kid who can't even drive yet.

Civic SI Veloz? I haven't heard of that. Is it a model they don't ship to US shores because the SI should be making 160.

I personally dislike the Civic. It looks like a rear-ended minivan.

Canada US Equivilent
------- ------------
SI EX

SiR SI

So, yeah..... a Canadian Si would make 127hp. But I am not sure about the "veloz".

hmmm, i like what is said about the whole Kepping the topic on the 240 and stuff, but i will admit some people like other types of cars also, as for the Civic, wouldnt it have been cheaper to get a 240SX, i mean come on, Friends dont let friends Drive hondas

i really hope you're not serious. honda's are sweet cars. the old prelude's, and Si's will mop us up stock vs stock. ok maybe not the Si, but the prelude definitely will. and the S2000/NSX, well i don't even need to say anything about that. my roommate just bought a RSX-TypeS and the thing is badass. ripping on honda just shows your lack of intelligence. so please, keep ripping on honda people, because then i know who not to listen to.

If keeping on the 240sx topic in chat is so important, then why don't we have an off topic forum?

For the most part IMHO Nissans generally are better than Hondas. That doesn't include the fact that there are some great HONDA's out there. I don't Dislike hondas as much as I'd rather have a nissan. As for the Veloz.....well what ever you call it I wouldn't be happy withany car that only had 127 HP. Very nice first car though. I hope he enjoys it thats all that really matters anyway.

Because there are already boards for that - offtopic.net and clubsi. THIS is a board about certain Nissan cars. I think the last thing we need around here is an infusion of even MORE oxygen thieves and their stupid questions/comments. The day I see people on a car message board posting for updates on the Real World and the latest rock/rap song, etc. - and not being chided for it - is the day I give up on that board as a source of information/enjoyment.

...
BTW: Civics are great cars. New Si is great - looks a lot like my old one. If you can't respect them, perhaps you should re-examine your so-called "enthusiasm" for cars. Personally, I would have bought an Se-R, but I can't fault someone for buying an Si... especially now that it's a hatch!

FYI: "oxygen thief" - see, "load that should have been swallowed"

For me its not an issue of whether I like Hondas or not it is the desire to be different than the majority. How many bee in a tin can Hondas do you see with 15 gauges on the A-pillar and one is probally a clock and one is outside temp. gauge. Me personaly don't want to be lumped in that group just my .02. I feel that with my sr20det I have a faster car than most Civics stock or otherwise and faster than a Lude and have the potential to be as fast as a s2000 (bigger cooler, bigger turbo, jwt ecu) all for a whopping fee of $5000 you just can't beat that with a stick! Who can dispute that?

So is it the Tenzo R E-brake handle, PIAA headlights or the clear tails that that gives that SiR the 220hp? Because he sure as fuck isnt getting it from the boltons you mentioned.

i dont think id ever put hood pins under a mod category. i mean, whats the point? i had to put them on my rx7 but that was b/c the latch broke. trust me, id rather have the latch anyday. any old retard could take my pins out and pull my hood up gaining excess to my precious engine!! i felt stupid about that and im glad nothing ever happened to it. the funniest thing is when u see a guy pull his pins out, then go back to pop the hood, then go back to lift the hood up! haha, how sad...

funniest thing is actually when your friend forgets to check his hood pins... and assumably either he forgot to reclip them or some asshole unclipped them... and he goes on the highway....

well... you can use your imagination for what comes next.
