Garrett Turbo Identification - 2871 or 2860rs?
Hey ya'll,
Trying to ID this turbo as I'm wanting to make some more power with a simple rom tune. Can't ID this turbo, however. Tried using Garrett website with the part number but nothing comes up (I think because the website is now Garrett/Honeywell, whereas my turbo nameplate says Garrett/Allied Signal)? I'm thinking it's either a 2871 or 2860rs? As you will see in pics it does not have the 2 bolt inlet or 2 bolt outlet flanges. Hoping to not have to remove the turbo and measure inducer/exducer... TIA. I embedded the pics but they were massive. Is the exhaust outlet a 5 bolt typical with sr? Or is it a unique pattern like the 4 bolt?
Hate to break it to you so quick, but you will definitely need to measure the wheels to know anything for certain, if you didn't find the turbo by part number. Could be a diff turbo with a garret compressor housing on it

The pic of OP's name plate is hard to read but I think this is correct!
